Who We Are

Hunt.AM and Sunup Hunt were founded by Louis Driving Hawk, an AI developer and lifelong hunter whose experiences on the Rosebud Reservation in South Dakota and chasing elk in Arizona shaped his approach to both technology and the outdoors.

"Ask any serious hunter about their favorite moment and they'll rarely talk about the shot," Louis says. "It's those moments at sunup when the world feels enormous and your problems feel small."

That perspective drives everything we do. We're building technologies and content that enhance your connection to hunting, not replace it. Our AI-powered hunting assistant at SunupHunt.com helps you navigate regulations, statistics, and strategies with simple questions. Our Hunt.AM newsletter and podcast extend that mission through timely updates and deeper conversations.

Based in Valentine, Nebraska, we're outside the urban tech bubble and firmly rooted in hunting culture. We're building tools and content for people like us — hunters who care about conservation, authenticity, and the continuation of our hunting heritage.
